FIT system separation as of July 1, 2025
1. Background
Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP), the majority shareholder of Pinion GmbH, has acquired the business divisions of Biketec GmbH associated with FIT 2.0 from ZEG.
Two companies have been established to implement this acquisition and separate the FIT 1.0 / Non-FIT* and FIT 2.0 activities:
- Smartscale NewCo AG, Luzernstrasse 84, CH-4950 Huttwil - responsible for all FIT 2.0 business in Switzerland
- Smartscale NewCo Europe GmbH, Im Höning 5, DE-63820 Elsenfeld - responsible for all FIT 2.0 business in the EU
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of Q2 2025. With effect from July 1, 2025, Smartscale NewCo AG will assume all rights and obligations of Biketec GmbH in connection with the FIT 2.0 business and will thus become the legal successor to Biketec GmbH in existing contractual relationships. A change of name for Smartscale NewCo AG is planned at a later date.
2. What does this mean for you?
Until now, you have managed both FIT 2.0 products and FIT 1.0 / Non-FIT products via a single login (SSO access) – including spare parts orders, service and maintenance access.
In future: Separate systems for FIT 2.0 products and FIT 1.0 / Non-FIT products
From July 1, 2025, there will be two separate areas, each with its own login (SSO access) for businesses connected to FIT 2.0 and for businesses connected to FIT 1.0 / Non-FIT. The separation affects the following systems:
- Service Portal for ticket creation
- Maintenance Tool for maintenance work
- E-Shop for spare part orders
